267. Give to the Toy Drive at Lefty O’Doul’s

It’s time to harken the inner giver this holiday season and help out. Lefty O’Doul’s is having a Toy Drive today on Christmas Eve in order to help out with the San Francisco Fire Fighters Toy Program.

You can drive right on up to the curb and give your handout to one of the Elves who will be waiting.

If you choose to stop on in your will be privey to not only some great entertainment, you might just be able to share a few belly laughs with the now infamous Ex-Macy’s Santa.

San Francisco Fire Fighter’s Toy Program

The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program is the city’s largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to over 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children year-around. Besides helping individual families in need, the Toy Program serves many community organizations, including shelters for abused women and children, inner-city schools, neighborhood groups, children’s cancer wards, and pediatric AIDS units.
