Who remembers the Drive-In?

Not sure if they’re still around… last time I noticed one, it was down on the South Bay somewhere just off of Hwy. 101 and it looked like a bit too sketchy to want to park your car in, let alone sit comfy and watch a movie.

Here’s an idea that’s similar, but maybe even better – Movies in the Park.

Sound fun, right?

More about Dolores Park Movie Night from their site’s about us page:

We live near Dolores Park, and want to make the most of our beautiful little neighborhood. Dolores Park Movie Night has no affiliations, no causes, no politics and minimal organization. This Thursday, May 13th at 8pm is: The Royal Tenebaums (thanks Rena) Starsky & Hutch

Looks like a new Movie Night will happen once a month at least through October. Check their site for future dates or keep in touch with us on Facebook to be updated.

Bummer! I just went to their site and it says they are showing Starsky & Hutch (2004) tonight. Last week the site said The Royal Tenebaums, which is what I really was in the mood for.
Maybe next month.
